James Barnes is the director of JBA. He is a Chartered Surveyor and one of the country's leading experts on non domestic rates. Having previously worked for the Valuation Office for over 22 years, James is now uniquely qualified to deal in all aspects of business rating appeals.
 
JBA can offer expert advice in all areas of Business Rates, including levels of valuation, empty property rates, exemptions and reliefs and plant and machinery.

Appeals and negotiations can be undertaken with the Valuation Office, including appearance at Valuation Tribunal if required.
